Dear Parents & Guardians,
We hope you and your families are continuing to keep safe and well. We are delighted to now be in a position to start the next phase of the reopening of our school for pupils from Junior Infants to 2nd class, in line with current guidance and recommendations.
Reopening the school and ensuring that it continues to remain safely open, will require the co-operation of every member of our school community. We will be all called on to play our part to help prevent the spread of the virus, thereby allowing the vital work of teaching and learning to proceed with as little disruption as possible. The BOM and staff have been working on the Covid-19 Response Plan for the safe reopening of the school for some weeks now but the success of its implementation depends entirely on everyone being responsible and adhering to all HSE guidelines.
We now ask that you play your part in our safe return by familiarising yourself, again, with all the HSE and DES guidelines, which are on our school website. Most importantly, you need to ensure that your child arrives at school during the exact time slot assigned to her class, no earlier and no later. This is essential to spacing out and controlling the numbers arriving at the school. We also ask that you walk to school if possible and remind you, that if driving, only set down facilities will be permitted.
Pupils will continue to enter and exit the school, in the same way as before the Christmas holidays. Please ensure that your daughter has a raincoat or umbrella if it is raining. Parents/guardians will not be allowed to enter the campus. If you need to pass on a message, please ring the school office. Your continued cooperation and support with this plan is vital.
The Department of Education’s ‘Covid-19 Response Plan for the Safe and Sustainable Reopening of Primary Schools’ February 2021’ is available to read on our school website. We have also published our updated Covid-19 Policy Statement, Risk Assessment and Plan for Phased Reopening in March 2021 on the website.
Finally, have a good sleep on Sunday night. Looking forward to seeing the girls on Monday! Slán go fóill.
Fáilte ón bPríomhoide
Welcome to Scoil Bhríde (Cailíní), a school for girls which is situated in the heart of Blanchardstown Village, in Dublin 15. Our girls come from many different parts of the world and bring with them an enriching diversity of cultures and languages.
Our school motto is Let us treat others as we would like them to treat us. This is a very simple statement but when we give it a little bit of thought, we realise that if everyone in the world were to live by this motto, the world would be a happier place for all of us! Here, in Scoil Bhríde (Cailíní), this value is imparted to the children from their very first day at school. Even our youngest children know that before they act, they stop and think. We hope that our girls will carry that philosophy with them throughout their lives.
In Scoil Bhríde (Cailíní), we aim to nurture all aspects of the development of our girls. We strive for a positive atmosphere where each person is valued and where the dignity of each person is respected at all times. We promote all aspects of learning and personal development with a particular emphasis on respect for self and for others.
Tá súil agam go mbainfidh an léitheoir taitneamh as an suíomh seo. I hope that having read our website you will have an understanding of who we are and what we stand for in Scoil Bhríde (Cailíní).
