Dear Parents/ Guardians,

I hope that you are all well and that your daughters enjoyed the virtual tours that were selected for them by their teachers for last week.

We are delighted to be in the final stages now of setting up Aladdin Connect and very shortly you will receive a text with a unique access code which will take you directly into the registration screen for Aladdin Connect. I would ask you all to please register as soon as you receive this code to ensure that you do not miss any communications from the school. This new system will further enhance communication between the school and you, our parents and we look forward to using this exciting new platform in the future.

School reports are also being finalised at the moment and you will receive these on the date that is assigned to your family for the return of school books. Further details will issue shortly. Please note that reports will not include standardised test results in English and Maths for this year, as these tests were not carried out in the summer term, as was advised by the Department of Education and Skills.

We are currently working on plans for a virtual graduation for the girls in Mr. Devlin and Ms.McKay’s 6th classes. These girls have been an absolute credit to the school and their parents and have always lived up to everything that was asked of them, behaviourally and academically. I have no doubt that they will contribute hugely to their new secondary schools and continue to apply themselves with the same enthusiasm and diligence. We wish them every blessing as they start the next stage of their journey. The graduation is planned for the 26th of June.   Further exact details will follow.

As mentioned in my letter last week, Seesaw is being introduced to the 1st classes this week. Mr. McCrudden and Ms. Duffy’s classes will have received a code for this this morning. You may wish to refer back to last week’s letter for guidance in downloading the app. We hope that the girls enjoy this new method of engaging with their teachers during the current school closure and we look forward to seeing their submissions coming in to us. Best of luck girls! Go n-éirí libh!

A reminder also that the closing date for payment of books is June 23rd.  If your payment is made before that date, the school will look after everything for you and ensure that all books are ready for you in September.

Take care of yourselves.

Le gach dea-ghuí,

Paula Dargan
