Letter to Parents-5/2/21

Dear Parent/Guardian,

I hope that you are all keeping safe and well.

Below are some updates re school.

Re-opening of Special Class

We are delighted to be in a position to welcome back the pupils in our Special Class, Seoda, on Monday the 22nd February and we look forward to seeing them all again in person.  The school will be in contact individually re same.

We have not received any further information or guidance on the opening of mainstream classes. We will keep you informed of all developments as they arise.

Supplementary Programme to Support the Education or Care Needs of Pupils with Complex Needs

The Department of Education has recently released details of an In-Person Supplementary Programme to support pupils with complex needs during the school closure. Pupils enrolled in our special class or pupils in mainstream classes with Autism, Down syndrome or sensory impairments would be eligible to avail of this scheme.

For further details, please contact the school on office@scoilbhridecailini.ie

Parent Teacher Meetings

We will be holding our Parent Teacher meetings from 22nd to 25th February. Meetings will be conducted by phone and are scheduled for 10mins. You will receive a timetable of available slots next week, via Aladdin Connect, which will allow you to choose a slot that is convenient for you. Parents who have three daughters in the school will receive these slots first, followed by those with two daughters and then slots will be generally released.

Please note that these calls from teachers will show as a private number. We ask you to respect the time limit set of 10 ins per call, to ensure that calls run to schedule for everyone. If there are any issues or concerns that need longer attention, a call can be scheduled again at a separate time.

Take care and have a good weekend,

Paula Dargan
