A visit from the French Embassy

On Monday 28th of March, Scoil Bhríde (Cailíní) welcomed visitors from the French embassy and the Académie de Paris who came to our school to see the French that had been taught in 6th class and to see the array of langauges that are represented. Our student council greeted them in different langauges on arrival. Mr Devlin’s 6th class played ‘La Marseillaise’ and some Irish songs including ‘Down by the Sally Gardens’. Next, they visited Ms O’Connor’s 2nd class who sang ‘He’s got the Whole World’ in lots of different langauges including Irish, French, Chinese, Malayam, Polish and many more. Finally, they visited Ms Dudgeon’s 6th class who told them about their experience of learning French and showed them their ‘Nuacht’ video they made during Seachtain na Gaeilge. They were so impressed with the students in Scoil Bhríde (Cailíní). On s’amuse bien!
