STUDENT COUNCIL VISIT DÁIL ÉIREANN

On Wednesday, April 27th, the members of the school’s Student Council visited Dáil Éireann. The Dáil, as you know, is the Irish house of parliament and is a hugely important part of our history. The 15 members of the student council got the train to the city centre along with Mr. Maguire and Ms. O’Connell. After having their lunch in St. Stephen’s Green, they made their way to Kildare Street where the entrance to the Dáil is located. On the tour, they saw the Dáil chamber itself, Leinster House and the Seanad. They even got to see a ‘friendly’ debate between two politicians during Taoiseach’s questions in the Dáil. The girls all thoroughly enjoyed themselves and they were a credit to the school from start to finish!
