Ms. Cusack’s 3rd Class enjoyed celebrating Valentine’s Day. They made some Valentine’s cookies by decorating chocolate biscuits with love hearts made from fondant icing. They also made some beautiful love heart candle holders. 

The girls in Seoda have been busy baking Irish brown soda bread. They have been learning that bread is made from wheat. The girls have been reading ‘The Little Red Hen’. They followed the recipe and used the ingredients to make the bread. It was delicious! Well done Seoda

The girls in sixth class have been learning some Cantonese calligraphy with a brand new teacher! Ngo Yee Lam has been doing a great job teaching her friends how to write in Cantonese. We read Under the Hawthorn Tree. We wrote a summary of each chapter to retell the story. We completed projects on ‘The Great Irish Famine’. Some of the girls won prizes for their projects. Everyone did a great job. Well done 5th Class!

Mr. McCrudden’s Junior Infants were looking for signs of Autumn this week. We went on an Autumn walk! We collected Autumn leaves, we noticed that the leaves have changed different colours. We saw yellow, red, orange and brown leaves. It was so much fun! We had fantastic fun dressing up for Halloween! Happy Halloween everyone!
